MECHANISM OF ACTION Alpha Galactosidase (Galto) is an enzyme derived from the fungus aspergillus niger which enhances the digestion of complex carbohydrates in the small intestine. Inhibits the entry of undigested carbohydrates moving from small intestine into large intestine Prevents the fermentation of undigested carbohydrates by the native microbial flora and prevents the formation of gas.
