SALT INFORMATIONAmoxicillin + Clavulanic Acid (625mg) TYPICAL USAGE Respiratory, genito-urinary, skin and soft tissue, ENT infections due to susceptible strains of Gram negative organisms like H.influenzae, E-coli, P.mirabilis and N. gonorrhoea. These interactions are sometimes beneficial and sometimes may pose threats to life. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required MECHANISM OF ACTION Clavulanic acid has a high affinity to bind certain ?-lactamases that generally inactivate amoxicillin by hydrolyzing its ?-lactam ring. Combining clavulanate potassium with amoxicillin prolongs the antibacterial spectrum of amoxicillin to include many bacteria normally resistant to amoxicillin and other penicillins and cephalosporins.
