Thera band is a latex resistance band or tube that is used for physical therapy and light strength training exercise. They are also commonly used by athletes, specifically dancers, to strengthen and stretch the feet. Most people will use a theraband under the direction of a physical therapist, before moving on to free weights or weight machines. However, they can be used to increase motor function and strength in a long-term exercise plan. Theraband exercise requires excellent posture, warming up and stretching, similar to most strength training programs.
