SALT INFORMATIONDonepezil Hydrochloride (10 mg) TYPICAL USAGE Induction of general anaesthesia, mild to moderately severe dementia in alzheimer's disease. SIDE EFFECTS Dizziness, headache, fatigue, anorexia, diarrhea, insomnia, rashes, confusion, pruritus, hallucination, psychiatric disturbance, urinary incontinence, nausea and vomiting, muscle cramps, syncope. DRUG INTERACTION Donepezil is known to interact with other drugs like acepromazine, aceprometazine, amantadine, brompheniramine, chlorpheniramine, chlorpromazine, desipramine, dicyclomine, ethopropazine, orphenadrine, perphenazine, prochlorperazine, trimeprazine, tripelennamine. Always consult your physician for the change of dose regimen or an alternative drug of choice that may strictly be required. MECHANISM OF ACTION Donepezil produces reversible inhibition of cholinesterases (eg. acetylcholinesterase), which prevents the hydrolysis of acetycholine, and leads to an increased concentration of acetylcholine at cholinergic synapses.
